Miami Fire Rescue's technical rescue and heavy rescue teams used cutting tools on a car's roof to free a person following a rollover crash in the city's Liberty City neighborhood.

Miami firefighters rescued a person trapped in a car following a single-vehicle rollover crash Monday.

The accident happened when the driver lost control and flipped over the road's median in the city's Liberty City neighborhood, WPLG-TV reports. The car then slid down an embankment and came to rest on its side.

Miami Fire Rescue's technical rescue and heavy rescue teams responded to the crash and used cutting tools to free the person inside the car. The individual was then taken to the hospital, but details about the extent of the injuries were not released.

Police are investigating to determine what caused the accident.
